Here is an effective King Tower Activation against the Royal Ghost, using the Skeletons & Ice Spirit cycle cards. Given the increase in the Royal Ghost’s popularity as of Shocktober (Season 16) due to the addition of the ‘Hover’ mechanic, this should be useful in providing a defensive boost against Royal Ghost decks.
This activation is functional against a Royal Ghost played in the back. Note the tile-specific placements used, as well as the timing of the cards. By splitting your Skeletons first, the Royal Ghost can be kited closer the midpoint line of the King Tower. Then, specific timing of the Ice Spirit allows the Royal Ghost to vanish first (so that the Ice Spirit doesn’t freeze it), be kited even further inwards to take out the Ice Spirit, and then travel to the King Tower. It will proceed to only get 1 hit on the King Tower, activating it; both Princess Towers will be untouched. This is a positive elixir trade (2 for 3). I have showcased this trick using a live recording, so that the exact tile placements can be easily demonstrated. I hope you find this useful.
The reason this activation is prevalent now is because of the Shocktober Balance Changes (https://clashroyale.com/blog/release-notes/season-16.html), which added the ‘Hover’ mechanic to the Royal Ghost (& Battle Healer). This mechanic added the following attributes to the cards:
◘ They can hover directly over the river
◘ They can’t be pushed out of the way by other cards
With this change, the Royal Ghost’s pathing is affected. It’s evident that when it’s played in the back, it travels more closely to the inside / center of the arena, as opposed to the edge. It can directly cross the river. By taking advantage of these pathing changes, this activation becomes a lot more accessible, since the Royal Ghost’s sight range extends further towards the middle of the arena on your side. So far, there’s been a noticeable increase in the Royal Ghost’s usage rates as a result of this mechanic being introduced. P.E.K.K.A Bridgespam is a lot more popular, and the Royal Ghost is seeing use in many other decks, such as Logbait & Royal Hogs. Therefore, this activation is quite useful to take advantage of.

In this clash royale video I showcased a trick using the clash royale 2.9 Xbow cycle deck. This deck has the clash royale xbow and tesla building defense as well as the clash royale cycle cards for quick defense and mechanical gameplay. This is currently a very strong but high skill-cap clash royale deck. In this video, I showcase a clash royale King Tower Activation against the clash royale Royal Ghost. Utilizing these specific placements and timings of the clash royale Skeletons & clash royale Ice Spirit defensively, you can pull a Royal Ghost played in the back all the way to the king tower. Because the Royal Ghost was buffed with the ‘hover’ mechanic in the recent Clash Royale Balance Changes (Season 16: Shocktober), its updated pathing is easier to manipulate, as it will now cross the river in the middle. This change means it travels closer to the inside of the arena, and its vision reaches far enough for this to work. Activating the king tower against most clash royale matchups is bound to help, since it will supplement your clash royale defense better for the rest of the game. This defense can be pulled off against any clash royale deck that uses the Royal Ghost. It is seeing a lot of use in different decks as of late, such as clash royale Pekka Bridgespam, clash royale Royal Hogs, and clash royale Logbait. It’s also worth mentioning that this trick can be applied to any deck that uses Skeletons & Ice Spirit as well, so it’s quite useful overall. I hope this video ends up helping you in your future matches.
