MORTAR-PUMP Tips
1) Starting hands, ideally you want to begin with elixir collector and get your cycle going, you have many super versatile cards to answer any offense your opponent may throw at you, in the case that there is no pump then you go right off the bat with offense, MORTAR! It’s the equivalent of throwing a Hog to try and get some early damage and analyze what your opponent answers with, thus breaking down their deck archetype
2) Every deck has its weakness and strengths, In the matter of siege, decks such as heavy golem decks are a pain! Don’t worry it’s not over, In this scenario you want to not only out cycle their win condition/counter BUT also their pumps, their ability to build massive pushes comes from elixir revenue which you can cycle to 2 pumps by the time they even get to 1 pump, look for golden opportunities and cease it.
3) This particular deck has answers to every and any deck archetypes but it’s up to your knowledge wether you can pull thru or not, often times you may have to use defensive mortars and get a feel out how they defend and interact (hard to get used to) other times, you never even have to use it on defense with as with spell bait, keep the pressure! Hard counters the pesky bait! Against the infamous lavaloon you want to put massive pressure, they lack ground troops, usually have to answer head on with air troops which this deck has amazing answers to.”
